كشفت منظمة إنسانية مهتمة بحقوق المرأة في العراق ، اليوم الأحد بأن هنالك ستة ملايين امرأة أمية في ظل الإهمال الحكومي

، كما وناشدت المنظمة المنظمات المعنية بالإسراع لوضع حل جذري لتلك الأزمة التي ستؤدي إلى نشوء جيل جاهل ومتخلف.
وقالت رئيسة تجمع المرأة العراقية الحرة "دهاء الراوي" لإحدى الوكالات الإخبارية " إن هنالك تقارير نضمتها المنظمة مع منظمات أخرى معنية بحقوق المرأة لأستبيان حجم (الأمية) في العراق سيما عند جنس الأناث فتبين أن هنالك نحو أكثر من ستة ملايين امرأة أمية في العراق".
وأضافت الراوي " إن هذا الرقم مخيف ، مشيرة إلى أن الأسباب التي أدت إلى تفاقم أعداد الأميات في البلاد هي ليست اُسرية فحسب بل إلى الوضع الاستثنائي في العراق وتنامي بعض الموانع الثقافية فضلا عن تدهور البنية التحتية للنظام التعليمي لاسيما الأبنية المدرسية".
ويعاني الواقع التربوي في العراق تراجعا كبيرا منذ احتلاله في العام 2003، وبعد أن كان العراق شبه خال من الأمية في ثمانينات القرن الماضي، في حين سبق أن كشفت منظمات دولية أن خمس العراقيين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 10 و49 سنة لا يعرفون القراءة.
وتشير تقارير أشرفت عليها وكالات الأمم المتحدة، إلى أن نسبة الأمية بين العراقيين تبلغ 24%، منها 11% بين الرجال، في حين بلغت النسبة في المناطق الريفية 25%، بينما لا تتعدى 14% في مناطق الحضر.
يذكر أن وزارة التربية الحالية اعترفت في حزيران الماضي إلى أن أعداد الأميين في البلاد تبدو مخيفة في العراق في ظل الإهمال الحكومي
