كشف نائبان من لجنة حقوق الانسان في البرلمان العراقي عن عمليات اغتصاب وتعذيب واعتقالات كيدية بحق نساء التقى بهن وفد برلماني قبل ايام في سجن للنساء تابع لوزارة العدل العراقية ويضم اربعة الاف سجينة و22 طفلاً حديثي الولادة. وقال رئيس لجنة حقوق الانسان في البرلمان حارث العبيدي ان اللجنة شكلت فريقاً من النواب شذى العبوسي وعامر ثامر مدير وكيان كامل حسن، بالاضافة اليه لزيارة السجن. وأوضح العبيدي لـ «الحياة» انه التقى شخصياً بامرأتين «تعرضتا للاغتصاب خلال عمليات التحقيق معهما». واضاف «وجدنا بعض النساء محكومات بالاعدام، وتمت المصادقة على أحكام ثلاث منهن. ووجدنا امرأتين تحملن الجنسية الايرانية اعتقلتا بتهمة حيازة المخدرات احداهن قالت انها مصابة بالسرطان. كما وجدنا نساء افغانيات وامرأة سورية». وأكد العبيدي انه استمع الى نساء تعرضن الى الاغتصاب اثناء الاعتقال وقبل ايداعهن سجن وزارة العدل، مضى على اعتقال احداهن 3 سنوات». وزاد «تحققت منها شخصياً، وقالت انهم خلال التحقيق كانوا يعرّونها ويغتصبونها يومياً امام ولدها السجين ايضا قبل ان تنقل الى سجن النساء». واضاف «هناك امرأة اخرى اصيبت بالعمى في المعتقل قالت انها تعرضت للتعذيب على يد عناصر في الداخلية بعد اعتقالها مطالبين اياها بالاعتراف بجريمة قتل، وتعرضت للاغتصاب مرات». وتابع «هناك سجينة ثالثة أحضرتها القوات الاميركية وكانت حاملاً وولدت داخل السجن اكدت انها تعرضت للاغتصاب ايضاً». وشدد العبيدي على ان «لجنة حقوق الانسان ستلتقي رئيس البرلمان اياد السامرائي لتقديم تقريرها، وستتحرك بشكل فاعل لحض القضاء والجهات العدلية لاتخاذ الاجراءات اللازمة لمراجعة ملفات المعتقلات ومطالبة وزارة الداخلية باتخاذ اجراءات مماثلة». وذكر ان لجنة حقوق الانسان ستعلن نتائج زيارتها الى سجن النساء في مؤتمر صحافي داخل البرلمان في الايام المقبلة. من جهتها اكدت عضو لجنة حقوق الانسان عن كتلة التحالف الكردستاني كيان كامل حسن لـ «الحياة» وجود هذا العدد الكبير من السجينات. وقالت انهن يعانين اوضاعاً صحية وانسانية صعبة، مشيرة الى ان بعضهن تعرض للاغتصاب داخل السجن. واشارت الى انها زارت، برفقة عدد من النواب، سجن النساء «للتحقيق في المزاعم هناك وفوجئنا بوجود 22 طفلا حديثي الولادة وان بعض السجينات المغتصبات خارج السجن اقمن دعوى ضد الذين اغتصبوهن فتم اعتقالهن بدلاً من اعتقال الجناة». وزادت ان «لجنة حقوق الانسان اعدت تقريراً بعد زيارتها اوصت فيه بإعادة النظر في قضايا بعض النساء اللواتي دخلن السجن بدعاوى كيدية، بينهن مجموعة من حملة الشهادات اللواتي يواجهن تهماً ناتجة عن العداء والدعاوى الكيدية»
HR committee in Iraqi parliament visited Women prison belonging to the 'justice' ministry. They found 4000 Iraqi women and 22 newly born babies.
The MPs reported, arbitrary arrests, torture and rape.
It is alleged that the torture and rape were committed before they were sent to the justice ministry's prison.
Harith al Obaidi who heads the cttee (other members Shatha Al Uboussy, Amer Thamer and Kayan Kamil Hassan).
Obaidy reported:
He met 1) two women who said they were raped during interrogation. 2) Women sentenced to death, 3) 2 Iranian (one got cancer) 1 Syrian and several Afghani women 4) one woman has been awaiting trial for the last 3 years. 5) A woman who has gone blind as a result of torture, she said that in the interior ministry prison she was tortured and raped repeatedly in a bid to get her to confess to murder 6) Many women told the committee of being stripped naked and raped during interrogation. 7) One woman said she was stripped naked and raped in front of her son, who was also a prisoner.
7) the conditions in the prison are bad and many prisoners suffer with their health.
8) one prisoner brought in by the US forces was already pregnant.
Kayan Hassan MP (Kurdish) said that many of the women WERE ACTUALLY RAPED AND WHEN THEY WENT TO THE POLICE TO COMPLAIN, THEY WERE ARRESTED INSTEAD OF THE PERPETRATORS!
KAYAN ALSO SAID THAT MANY OF THE WOMEN PRISONERS ARE PROFESSIONALS AND THE CASES AGAINST THEM ARE FALSE..

We women of Tadhamun condemn the persisting practice of arbitrary arrests by the Iraqi security forces. We condemn their arrests of women in lieu of their men folk. These are 'inherited' practices. We are alarmed by credible media reports of the Green Zone government’s intentions of executing hundreds of Iraqi men and women.

From the angle of the photo, it is possible to calculate that the complex is being built at E 396388 N 3785995 (UTM Zone 38 North) or Lat. 34.209760° Long. 43.875325°, to the west of the Malwiya (Spiral Minaret), and behind the Spiral Cafe. While the point itself may not have more than Abbasid houses under the ground, it is adjacent to the palace of Sur Isa, the remains of which can be seen in the photo. While the initial construction might or might not touch the palace, accompanying activities will certainly spread over it.Sur Isa can be identified with the palace of al-Burj, built by the Abbasid Caliph al-Mutawakkil, probably in 852-3 (Northedge, Historical Topography of Samarra, pp 125-127, 240). The palace is said to have cost 33 million dirhams, and was luxurious. Details are given by al-Shabushti, Kitab al-Diyarat. Samarra was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO at the end of June.
